‘Managing for tomorrow today’
At Ford Bros we are acutely aware of the environmental impact of our construction activities. We work with our customers and suppliers to minimise the environmental impact by encouraging everyone to manage impacts throughout the supply chain. We are currently implementing an Environmental Management System designed to meet the requirements of ISO 14001 and to run concurrently with our existing ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.

We aim continuously to embed environmental management systems into our business and work to prevent environmental harm in all our activities. Management objectives and targets are established and reviewed on a regular basis to implement the Environmental Policy. These are based on a commitment to six environmental principles:

• Prevention of pollution.
• Minimisation of energy and material usage and the production of waste.
• Effective and responsible waste management and disposal.
• Promoting reuse and recycling of products.
• Maintaining a high awareness of environmental issues in the workforce.
• Involving suppliers, contractors and customers in environmental initiatives.
